About Us

Andrew’s Story

andrewAndrew was an altruistic, ambitious, hard-working, and talented young man who grew up on a small family farm in Northwestern Minnesota. Due to a combination of several scholarships, Andrew was able to continue his education and earn an undergraduate degree. Andrew wanted to prove himself and to find his own success out in the world before someday, hopefully, coming home to settle back into the more simple life back in farm country.

Andrew did find himself to be quite successful in business and the future was very bright. With dreams of starting a family of his own, Andrew was married in 2009. Tragically, six weeks after his wedding day, a physical malfunction caused his small plane to crash in Northern Minnesota and he did not survive.

Andrew leaves behind a legacy of love, understanding, and compassion, of hard work and industriousness, but most of all, a remembrance of the great love of life that he had.

We seek to perpetuate his good will and love of good times with our events and the charitable purpose. We hope that you will agree and share in the fun!

The Foundation:

The Andrew A. Lindberg Memorial Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to providing college scholarships to high school seniors from rural Minnesota. The resources that come to us from donations and fundraisers go 100% toward our scholarship fund, and to the costs of putting on future fundraisers.

The mission of the Foundation is to continually endow a scholarship fund to help less-privileged rural Minnesota children who have a desire to continue their educations.

The goal of our fundraisers is to simultaneously bring people together for the kinds of events that Andrew loved the most, and to keep Andrew’s memory alive by getting together a few times each year for fun outings!

The money that we raise subsequently goes to a good cause. It’s a win-win!
